Case Study: Biomedia Demo / Summary
In early December 2004, TTI/Vanguard held
its "NextGens" conference at the Georgia Tech Conference Center. Professor
Diane Gromala was asked by the powers that be if she would set up
a demo showcasing the ongoing projects being carried out by Georgia
Tech’s Biomedia Studio. There were only two weeks to organize
and prepare for this event, and Gromala knew that she was going
to be in China for another conference. Since this was a prime opportunity
to expose conference attendees to our work, several of whom were
venture capitalists, it was important that we make a showing, even
if the preparations were going to be fast and furious.
I, as well as three other colleagues, was asked
to organize and prepare an exhibit for the event in Professor Gromala's absence.
